Through rapid tests, we can identify or exclude indicators for disease patterns without sending samples to the laboratory. The results are thereby provided promptly and are part of the diagnostic repertoire of resident physicians, emergency physicians and in hospitals. The Berlin company MicroDiscovery has developed a mobile application that evaluates medical rapid tests and the test procedure by semi-automated processes.
How can we ensure in the further development of the mHealth application that the risk of operator errors is reduced? We have to focus the context of use for creating a redesign which is adapted to the actual needs of the target group.
We create a requirement analysis and develop a redesign based on the results of usability testing to enable an improved handling of the application:
