hih – health innovation hub of the Federal Ministry of Health

Embedding Digital Health in Society

The health innovation hub (hih) of the Federal Ministry of Health is an idea factory for the German health system. The task of the innovation hub is to further explore the previously unused potential of digital transformation in the health sector. The focus is on innovative solutions that noticeably improve the everyday life of patients and medical staff. As a neutral platform, it aims to facilitate the dialogue between relevant actors and to create social relevance and acceptance for new ideas in healthcare.

Together with the hihUseTree developed the corporate design of the innovation centre. The project team designed a contemporary image that embodies innovation and inspires trust at the same time. The central design element is a modular system that can be used flexibly for various concepts in both print and online media. UseTree also developed the in-house website – a core element of the platform – taking into account the needs and editorial processes of the hih

UseTree continues to support the hih in an iterative innovation process – so that the innovation centre can continue to convince citizens of the possibilities of digital health solutions not only in terms of content, but also in terms of technology and design.
